Pisanka (plural: Pisankas, Pisanki) is an ancient Slavic art of egg decorating. Originated in pagan times, it transfromed into the Christian tradition of the Easter egg. Nevertheless, it tradition, pisankas retained symbolics of paganism.

While pisankas of various Slavic nations have very much in common, national traditions vary.
