Peles Castle (pronounced Pelesh), located in Sinaia, Romania is a castle built the 19th century in neo-Renaissance style by German architect Johannes Schultz and it used to be the summer residence of the royal family. It was taken over by the communist government of Romania and then control passed into the hands of the state after the revolution.

Now it is a museum and popular tourist site.
