Pat Burns (Born: Saint-Henri, Quebec , Canada-) is a French Canadian head coach for the National Hockey League New Jersey Devils. He has also coached the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins. He has won three Jack Adams Awards with these three different teams - Montreal (1989), Toronto (1993) and Boston (1998), having the distinction of being the only three time winner. He also coached for the QMJHL Hull Olympiques and AHL Sherbrooke Canadiens and played one season with the London Knights. He has been head coach of the Devils since June 13, 2002. Before his career in hockey, he was a police officer in Hull, QuebecHull is a community in western Quebec, Canada and is located on the west bank of the Gatineau River and the north shore of the Ottawa River, directly opposite Ottawa, Ontario.
