It's stock (Ticker: OI) was added to the Dow Jones Industrial Average on June 1, 1959 and remained in the index until March 12, 1987. Company's stock was hurt by Asbestos suits and/or rumors and high fuel prices. Currently (12/14/2001) the stock is rising with increased earnings and lower fuel prices.

The Headquarters is located in Toledo, Ohio with a large facility in Nearby Perrysburg Ohio. The building used as the headquarters in Toledo is the most prominent on the skyline, almost entirely glass on the outside.
