Oslo Airport is located in Gardermoen in Ullensaker, Norway, north of Oslo, and is a modern, international airport with two runways. Its IATA Airport Code is OSL. It is a hub of Braathens and a focus city for Scandinavian Airlines SystemIn addition to the European route E6, the connection to Oslo is via a high speed train service ( Flytoget) which requires just over 20 minutes for the journey to Oslo's central station (Oslo S).
Gardermoen was adopted from a WWII airfield. Gardermoen took over as the main Oslo airport on October 8 1998, when Fornebu airport was closed. The transfer happened overnight, and was a major operation.
Sandefjord Airport is also serving Oslo.
