Osip Maksimovich Brik ( January 16, 1888 - February 22, 1945), avant garde Russian writer, was one of the most important members of the " Russian formalists" school, though he also identified himself as one of the Russian Futurists. Osip was one of the co-founders of the magazine LEF (Levy front isskustva— Leftist Front for the Arts), which was also an official publication for the group with the same name and a platform to Russian Constructivist art. Later the magazine was renamed as Novi Lef (New Left).

Brik suffered the persecution of the Bolshevik regime, which was very intolerant with avant-garde artists and thinkers, especially after Stalin's rise to power.

His wife Lilya BrikLilya Urevna Brik ( 1893 August 4, 1978) was married to Osip Brik. She was the obsessive theme of most of Vladimir Mayakovsky's poetry, especially in Pro Eto''. The main subject of this epic poem was love in itself. After a brief separation, at a Christma was the object of Vladimir MayakovskyVladimir Vladimirovich Mayakovsky ( July 7 (O. July 19 (N. 1893 April 14, 1930) was among the foremost representatives for the poetic futurism of early 20th century Tsarist Russia and the Soviet Union. He was born the third child in Bagdadi, Georgia where's romantic and literary attentions and his sister-in-law Elsa Triolet was Louis AragonLouis Aragon ( October 3, 1897 December 24, 1982), French historian, poet and novelist. Member of the Dadaist and subsequently the surrealist circles. Married Russian-born author Elsa Triolet (born 1896) in 1939, the sister-in-law of Russian poet Vladimir's wife.
