In Egyptian mythology, the Ogdoad are the eight deities worshipped in Hermopolis. They were arranged in four male/female pairs: Nu/ Naunet, Amun/ Amaunet, Kuk/ Kauket, Huh/ Hauhet.

They created the mound of dirt ( Mehturt) from which Ra was born. The gods were associated with frogs and the goddesses were associated with snakes.
