The Oersted Medal recognizes notable contributions to the teaching of physics. Established in 1936, it is offered by the American Association of Physics Teachers . It is named after Hans Christian Ørsted.

Famous prizewinners include Nobel laureate Richard Feynman, Carl Sagan, and Hans Bethe.
