Oasis were one of the most successful British bands of the 1990s; the band formed in 1991.They are known for their "laddish" behavior of drinking, cocaine abuse and swearing, and tendencies to be aggressive, outspoken and yobbish towards the media; especially in the case of the brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher.

Their first album, Definitely Maybe ( 1994) is the fastest selling British debut album ever, and the follow-up (What's the Story) Morning GloryWhat's the Story) Morning Glory is a 1995 album by rock band Oasis. The band's second album, it was a worldwide hit, reaching #1 in the United Kingdom and #4 in the United States, and selling 18. 2 million copies worldwide. The album was produced by Owen ( 1995) defined the mid-90s "Cool Britania" and Britpop movements. Subsequent albums have been equally successful with the public, though not so much with critics. These albums spawned many memorable tracks, including " WonderwallWonderwall is a song by British rock group Oasis from their second album (What's the Story) Morning Glory''. Released as a single in 1995, it peaked a number 2 in the UK charts. It is their most successful single to date, and perhaps their most popular so", "Live Forever", "Supersonic", "Cigarettes and Alcohol", "Don't Look Back in Anger", "All Around the World", "Stand By Me", "Sunday Morning Call", "Go Let It Out", "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" and "Little by Little". The vast majority of Oasis' songs have been written by Noel Gallagher. Although the most recent album tracks have still been written by Noel, other members have begun contributing material - most notably brother Liam with the tracks "Little James" on Standing on the Shoulder of GiantsStanding on the Shoulder of Giants is the fourth studio album by Oasis, released in 2000.
