The New Sabah Times is a newspaper in Sabah. It was first known as the Sabah Times when it was founded in 1949 by Mr. Donald Stephens. He later became Sabah's first Chief Minister when Sabah gained independence from Britain. He was also awarded the title Tun as a reward for his service. In 1954 , Sabah Times combined with North Bornoe News and became the North Bornoe News & Sabah Times. The paper later changed its name again in 1969 to Kinabalu Sabah Times but changed it's name again back to the original in 1979. Unfortunately, the publication of the Sabah Times ended on March 24 1995. On 8th March 1998 , the newspaper was resurrected as the New Sabah Times by Inna Kinabalu Sdn Bhd.
