Napoleon Orda ( Belarusian: Напалеон Орда, Napaleon Orda) ( February 11, 1807 -- April 26, 1883) is a Belarusian artist of Polish nationality. In his works he depicted landscapes, urban and rural architecture, churches and palaces of Belarus and Poland, as well as some places in Ukraine, France, Germany, Portugal.

Napoleon Orda was born in PinskPinsk ( Belarusian: ), a town in Belarus, in the province of Palesse, travesed by the river Pripet, at the confluence of the Strumen and Pina rivers. The region is known as the Marsh of Pinsk. It is a fertile agricultural center. It lies south-west of Min district of Minsk guberniya in a family manor (now the place is in the Ivanava district, Brest voblastBrest voblast is one of the administrative regions in the Republic of Belarus located in the south-west of Belarus bordering on Poland and Ukraine. Brest, which is located on the Western Bug River, is the capital of this administrative region ( voblast)., Belarus).

His works are pencil sketches tinted with watercolour, gouacheGouache (from the Italian guazzo "water paint, splash") is a type of watercolor paint, made heavier and more opaque by the addition of a white pigment ( chalk, Chinese white, etc. in a gum arabic mixture. In 1997, a monument to Napoleon Orda was erected in Ivanava (scuptor I. Golubev).
