1 Geography

The district includes Lasqueti Island , the Regional District of Alberni-Clayoqout, and all of the Regional District of Nanaimo except the extreme southeastern part, including but the extreme northern part of Nanaimo.

The southern part of Nanaimo belongs to the Nanaimo—Cowichan electoral district.

2 History

The electoral district was created in 1996 from Comox-Albernia and Nanaimo-Cowichan
