Marion Michael "Mike" Rounds (born October 24, 1954) is an American politician and the current Governor of South Dakota. A Republican, he was elected in November 2002, defeating Democrat Jim Abbott. He took office in January 2003.

Rounds was born in Huron, South Dakota. He attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, where he earned his B.S. in political science.
