Mike McMahon is the second-string Quarterback for the Detroit Lions. He was drafted in 2001 and accounted for the most memorable moments of the year for the Lions, including a close loss to Green Bay on Thanksgiving. His reckless style benefitted the Lions in 2001, when they were one of the league's worst teams, but has since been considered a liability because recent additions of Joey Harrington, Roy Williams, Kevin Jones , and Charles Rogers . His contract is due to expire at the end of the year with Dallas and Green Bay being potential destinations via free agency.
