The village is mostly within Wawatam Township, though a small portion lies within Mackinaw Township. Interstate 75 is one major highway serving the area. U.S. Highway 23 has its northern terminus in the the village and U.S. Highway 31 ends in a junction with I-75 just four miles to the south.
