- Hong XiuquanHong Xiuquan (, Wade-Giles: Hung Hsiu-ch'uan) ( January 10, 1812- 1864), a Hakka Chinese Christian who led the Taiping Rebellion and established the Heavenly Kingdom of Taiping, in which he was known as the King of Heaven (/Tian wang). His courtesy name w claimed to be the second son of God, brother to Jesus Christ.
