Large format describes photographic films, cameras, and processes that produce negatives 4 x 5 inches or larger.

Large format film is most often used in view cameras, but is also used in pinhole cameras.

Common large format film sizes (in inches):

One could cut a piece of film to any size above 4x5 and it would qualify as large format.
