1 Statistics

2 Biography

Lamb Of God began as a band called "Burn The Priest" in 1994. They came together in their current form under the moniker "Lamb Of God" in 1999. In 2000 they were signed to Prosthetic records and released their debut as Lamb Of God, titled New American Gospel.

Lamb of God combines the raw energy and speed of thrash metal with the hellish vocals of the death metal genre and the dextrous, melodic riffs of European melodic death metal.

Though sometimes labeled as death metal, their lyrics rarely cover the usual topics of death metal; brutality, rape, gore, satanism, murder. Their lyrical themes tend to instead cover topics such as politics and capitalism (As the Palaces Burn), American history (In Defense of Our Good Name), war (Ashes of the Wake), religion (Vigil), substance abuse (11th Hour), and other topics.
