- ( Roger IIIRoger III ( 1175- 1194) was the son and heir of Tancred of Sicily. In 1193, his father, King Tancred, arranged his marriage to Irene, daughter of the eastern Emperor Isaac II. Tancred then had his son Roger crowned. Roger died the next year, shortly befor 1193Events Saladin dies, and the lands of the Kurdish Ayyubid dynasty of Egypt and Syria are is split among his descendants.
