Jeremiah Trotter was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the in the 3rd round of the 1998 draft. In his first year as an Eagle as a backup, he recordet only 6 tackles.

After that year he got the starting job as a middle linebacker spot. In the 99/00 season he recordet a total of 174 tackles a team leading stat. The next year he recordet 164 tackles and again the best on the team. After four years with the Eagles he had 361 tackles, 9 sacks, 5 interceptions and 4 forced fumbles.
