Jenny Gear finished fifth place in the first season of Canadian Idol. She is from Carbonear, Newfoundland .
Although she did not win the contract, Jenny signed with judge Jake Gold's The Management Trust . Her debut album Jenny and the Whiskey Kittens , is to be released in July 2004.
