Jennifer Tilly (born September 16, 1958 in Harbor City, California ) is an American actress who has starred in many major films as well as independent features. 1 Biography
Tilly was born Jennifer E Chan and was raised in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. She attended Belmont High School along with her two sisters, one of whom, Meg Tilly, is also an actress. She began her acting career as a teenager, putting herself through the theater program at Stephens College in Missouri.
Her breakthrough film role was in The Fabulous Baker Boys ( 1989) and she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Bullets Over Broadway ( 1994).
In the 1980s Jennifer was briefly married to Sam Simon .
