Jacques Dutronc (b. April 28 1943 in Paris) is a French singer, composer, and comedian. On March 30 1981 he married the singer Françoise Hardy, with whom he had already had a son.

Most of the work of Jacques Dutronc was written in cooperation with Jacques Lanzman .

The song "La fille du père Noël" include the same riff as David Bowie's song "Jean Genie". While Dutronc never claimed any plagiarism it's largely accepted that Bowie song was (probably unvolontary) influenced by Dutronc song. The Belgian singer Arno recorded a medley of both songs ("Jean Baltazaarr") with the American singer Beverly Jo Scott that makes similarities between both songs obvious.
