Home > Ix (planet)
Ix is a fictional planet featured in the Dune novels by Frank Herbert. The name comes from the Roman numeral IX because it is the ninth planet from its sun. Ix specialises in the production of complex machinery which often flaunt the proscriptions of the Butlerian Jihad. Ix's prime competitor is Richese but has always maintained a healthy lead in technology. #REDIRECT Spoiler
The Ixians were responsible for the creation of Hwi Noree and thus contributed to the fall of Leto Atreides II, the God Emperor.
