This article is about the Flash animation. For other uses of the title Irrational Exuberance, see Irrational Exuberance (disambiguation).

Irrational Exuberance is a Flash animation by the Internet artist Veloso in which several pop culture images are subverted to a sound track provided by the Japanese Yatta song. The animation is possibly one of the most famous and popular examples of animutation (technically fanimutation), a primitive but frequently entertaining style of Internet animation. Irrational Exuberance is also an example of an Internet phenonemon in that it gained popularity via a link shared amongst friends and posted on various blogs.

In the animation, several products are Photoshopped so that their names are replaced with the word "Yatta". This is done so that the brand styling of the product is maintained throughout, creating an odd effect. In addition, lyrics run across the bottom of the screen. These are clearly made-up and based on what the Japanese lyrics of the song appear to be saying.

Elsewhere in the video various stolen images from the Internet are animated in elementary fashion, such as by simply moving around the screen or being zoomed in and out of.
