The Irish Republic achieved recognition only from the USSR under Lenin, who borrowed money from Michael Collins's Ministry of Finance and paid it back in the Tsarist crown jewels, and lasted until 1922 when it was replaced — de jure, as well as de facto — by the Irish Free State.
