Irina Slutskaya (ИРИНА СЛУЦКАЯ) ( February 9, 1979 in Moscow, Soviet Union (now Russia)) is a Russian figure skater. She had her greatest success, so far, in figure skating at the 2002 Winter Olympics where she won the silver medal for her country. She was the second Russian to win any medal in the women's event. She did tie with American Sarah Hughes but lost in a tie-breaker for winning the free programme in a close result. Russia filed a complaint against the result but it has yet to be resolved.
