ITEP (Institute for Theoretical and Experimental Physics, Russian: Институт теоретической и экспериментальной физики) is located in Moscow, Russia. It's a MinAtom physical institute. You can learn more about official status of the institute at ITEP Site.
This is a community of people studying not only modern theoretical physics and mathematics but also biology and chemistry.
The group organizes schools, especially for schoolpeople and undergraduates as well as does scientific research.
Research areas in theoretical physics concentrate around quantum field theory, especially string theory as these areas of modern science are regarded by many scientists as core fields of knowledge.
ITEP also maintains local version of arXiv as xxx.itep.ru
From Metro Profsojusnaja or Nahimovskij Prospekt by bus to the intersection of Nahimovskij and Sevastopol'skij prospect. Then you walk 5 minutes along the wall and you see the gate as well as the door where you should show your documents. Note that to get to ITEP you should be listed in the visitor's list.

MPG is in 180 building primarily on the 3rd floor. Simply go there by elevator and ask for any person you need.
