Ina Garten is the host of the Food Network program Barefoot Contessa. Garten originally worked in the White House on nuclear energy policy, but abandoned that job to open a speciality food store called Barefoot Contessa. By the time she sold the store to her employees two decades later, the store was seven times its original size. She went on to write several cookbooks and columns for Martha Stewart Living and O .
