Dr. Iain McCallum was the original lead character in the British television series McCallum , and he was played by the actor John Hannah.

McCallum was a forensic pathologist , and solved murders. The character had romantic involvements with two of the other principal characters, Joanna (played by Suzanna Hamilton ), and later Angela (played by Zara Turner ). Unusually, the series continued under the name McCallum after the departure of the eponymous main character.
