In J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional universe of Middle-earth, the House of Marach or House of Hador was the Third House of the Edain.

Named after their first leader Marach or more commonly after his descendant Hador Lórindol, the House was the greatest of the three Houses of the Edain, and most heroes of the First Age were members of it.

Hador Lórindol, Adanel, Húrin Thalion, Túrin Turambar, Huor and Tuor were all descended from this House, as was Eärendil the Mariner.

The Men of the House of Hador typically had blonde hair and blue eyes, and were very tall, taller than any Elf of BeleriandIn the fiction of J. Tolkien, Beleriand was the region of northwestern Middle-earth during the First Age. Originally, the name belonged only to the area around the Bay of Balar, but in time the name was applied to the entire land. The element Beler ''Bala except for ThingolElu Thingol is the King of Doriath and High King of the Sindar, a fictional character of Middle-earth, created by J. More accurately Thingol was the Sindarin form of the surname of one of the kings of the Teleri. The Quenya form of the same name is Elwe S.

Under Marach they were a war-like tribe, united in speech and manners to the First House of the Edain, the House of BëorIn the fiction of J. Tolkien, the House of Beor was the oldest of the Three Houses of Men that had allied with the Elves in the First Age. Beor the Old originally named Balan the founder of the House, was the first to lead Men across the Ered Luin (Blue M, and they settled in EstoladIn Tolkien's fictional universe of Middle-earth, Estolad was a wide plain in East Beleriand. After the first Men arrived there from beyond the Ered Luin, they camped for a number of years on the plain before moving further west and south. Realms of Middle not long after the Bëorians and the Second House, the Haladin had settled there.

They were the largest in number, and remained longest there, until they were given the land of Dor-lóminTolkien's fictional universe of Middle-earth, Dor-lomin is a part of Hithlum. Dor-lomin, "Land of Echoes", was the south-western part of Hithlum, bordered in the east by the Mountains of Mithrim and in the north by the river which formed the Rainbow Cleft as a fief under Hador Lórindol. Afterwards the House was referred to as the House of Hador.
