Hornitos is a beautiful long beach located 25 km. north of Mejillones and 90 km. north of Antofagasta, in Second Region, Chile. Hornitos is part of Mejillones Comuna ( spanish for district) but its residents are mainly Antofagasta inhabitants. Near 300 houses conform the town, but almost none of them are inhabited during winter. Hornitos is only a beach town and has no permanent inhabitants.
