Space Ritual features Hawkwind classics such as Master of the Universe, Sonic Attack, Space Is Deep, Born To Go and Brainstorm. Many of these tracks had previously appeared on earlier studio albums such as: Hawkwind, In Search Of Space and Doremi Fasol Latido .

There is also a later release entitled Space Ritual Vol. 2, which is not actually a sequel but rather a selection of alternate versions of the same material.
