Harry Saltzman ( October 27 1915 - September 28 1994) was a film producer best known for co-producing the James Bond film series with Albert R. Broccoli until selling his share of the franchise to United Artists in 1975. He retired from the business at that point with the exception of producing the 1988 British-Italian-Yugoslavian co-production Time of the Gypsies.

Saltzman was born in the Canadian province of New Brunswick but moved to Britain where he entered the film business producing social dramas such as 1959's Look Back in Anger and 1960's Saturday Night and Sunday Morning.

He joined forces with "Cubby" Broccoli in 1962 to create the production company EON ProductionsEON Productions is a film production company best known for the James Bond movie franchise. EON stands for "Everything or Nothing". It was started by the famous James Bond producers Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman in 1961. In 1975 after nine movies, and their first film in the James Bond series, Dr. NoNo is a novel by Ian Fleming and the first official James Bond film adapted from it. It was released in 1962 and was produced by Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman with Sean Connery playing the role of British Secret Service agent, Commander James Bond. After Broccoli's production company, EON Productions, made the first James Bond film, Dr. No in 1962, a, the parent company of EON Productions and a clever combination of Broccoli's and Saltman's wives' names. Danjaq currently partners with United Artists in ownership of the Bond films, their elements and characters.
