Home > HaQrayot

HaQrayot is an urban area in Israel, a conglomeration of five smaller towns located about 30km north of Haifa in the Haifa District, which as of 2003 contains:
  1. Qiryat Yam 38,000 people.
  2. Qiryat Motzkin 46,000 people.
  3. Qiryat Bialik 54,000 people.
  4. Qiryat Atta 60,000 people.
  5. Qiryat Haim 40,000 people.

Many arrived after 1990, following the large aliyah from the collapsing Soviet Union.

In a few years all of the HaQrayot should be united into one big city with a population of about 250,000 people, which will make it one of the ten largest cities in Israel.
