Home > HK GMG

Heckler und Koch's automatic grenade launcher is the GMG (grenade machine gun) or Granate Maschinengewehr. It fires 40  mm grenades in rapid succession. The GMG is belt-fed, and can be loaded from either side, making it quite ambidextrous. With a variety of sights available (including night-vision types) the GMG can be used for accurate, long range bombardments in a large number and types of situations. It was rigorously tested in the Yuma, Arizona, desert in the year of 1997 in order to compete for future U.S. contracts.
