HGANB Started on June 2nd, 2002, with a relatively new BZPowermember, Kopaka7427, starting up a slapstick comedy about Lego Bionicle. It soon became a hit and slammed up into the Hot Topic pages. It lasted for 16 different installments and incarnations on BZPower, until the authors, General O'Neill, Colonel O'Neill, and Lewa of Darkness, felt that the site was becoming too constrictive on the HGANB ideas and comedy. With that, General O'Neill set up an InvisionFree board to continue the Slapstick on, with no real rules except his own, which is HERE.
HGANB has prospered on the InvisionFree board for a whole month now, and will soon be joined by a static site with downloads and drawings, amongst other things. Lewa Of Darkness has used the title 'Major Nicoletti' since HGANB moved to the Invisionfree board, and HGANB has Now nearly entirely seperated from its roots of BZPower.
This is quoted from General O'Neill in a topic on the IF Board: 'We're aiming toward advertising and making the whole thing a lot better. Basically, We're going to try and put together a comic book, which will entail afros. Lots of Afros. That's the one subject we haven't touched on in HGANB yet, and we'll make this new incarnation involve that. Also, we're going to try and extend the board and get a proper .com domain name. Whilst we have a .tk domain, this isn't going to cut it to get more readers. That's why we ask you to buy a custom clearance card to donate three bucks to HGANB's continuation. We only need you to buy 10 cars, and we can advertise for Two days on Megatokyo. We need just a mere 4 cards bought to get our .com domain for a whole year. We need to expand and grow, and our readers will be the ones to help us do that.'
Just recently, all the authors signed a document outlining that though HGANB may change, It won't leave this world until the Authors all leave this world too. Hopefully, the HGANB Story will prosper and grow for a long long time.
