HD 209458 (also called V376 Pegasi) is a Sun-like star of spectral type F8, approximately 150 light years from Earth, in the constellation Pegasus. It has a magnitude of 7.65. It is one of two known stars which become obscured by an orbiting planet. Its companion is named HD 209458b.
