The band was formed in April 2002. Its members are Charlie DeMars (guitar and vocals), Aaron Anderson (drums and vocals), James Marsters (lead vocals and acoustic guitar), Steve Sellers (keyboards and vocals), and Kevin McPherson (bass). The band has recorded one album, Mad Brilliant, a showcase of both James and Charlies' lyrical skills. Marsters sings lead vocal on most of the Mad Brilliant tracks, with other band members singing back up.
On their recent European tour, the band chose to release an EP entitled "It's Nothing", giving a taster from their long awaited second album.
Unfortunately for fans of "Ghost of the Robot", James Marsters decided to leave the band in order to pursue new TV and film projects. But the remaining four members were to carry on under the new name of "Gods of the Radio" with the self titled album due for release near the end of 2004 - yet due to an issue between step brothers Steven Sellars and Charlie DeMars, "Gods of the Radio" split before even releasing, recording, or playing live any new songs.
