The Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL) is a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Its name reflects an emphasis on studying atmospheres and oceans as complex fluid systems. The GFDL is located on the campus of Princeton University.
