| List of Melbourne railway stations |
The Flemington Racecourse railway line is a suburban railway in Melbourne, Australia. It has 5 stations, all in Metcard ticketing Zone 1.
The Flemington Racecourse line is rarely in operation as it only opens for special events: namely the Melbourne Cup and the Royal Melbourne Show . It is otherwise used to store trains between peak hours. The line may be opened to permanent daily service if a redevelopment of the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds goes ahead.
The Flemington Racecourse line saw the first electric train journey in Australia, in 1919. The train travelled from Newmarket station on the Broadmeadows line to Flemington Racecourse station.
