The current flag of Bolivia was originally adopted in 1851. The flag consists of red, yellow and green stripes with the Bolivian coat of arms in the center. The national flag of Bolivia omits the coat of arms.

According to one source, the red stands for Bolivia's animals and liberating army, while green symbolizes fertility and yellow the nation's mineral deposits. [1]
