Bartlehiem is a hamlet, located partially in Ferwerderadiel, partially in Tytsjerksteradiel, and partially in Leeuwarderadeel. It is known for its role in the Elfstedentocht: As Bartlehiem - Dokkum is the only part of the route that is skated both ways, Bartlehem is the only spot along the route where you can see skaters in three directions.
The name derives from Bethlehem.
