Fernando Flores Labra is a former Chilean Cabinet Minister and researcher into artificial intelligence. Flores spent three years as a political prisoner of General Augusto Pinochet, after which he went to California where he developed his work on philosophy, coaching, and workflow technology, influenced by Heidegger, Maturana, John Austin and others. He obtained a PhD in Philosophy from the University of California at Berkeley. His thesis was titled Management and Communication in the Office of the Future. He created several companies as "Logonet", an educational company, "Business Design Associates", a management consulting company, and Action Technologies, a software company, where he introduced new distinctions in Workflow Analysis, GroupWare, software design and business process analysis. He has recently been elected to the Senate in Chile.

He is the author of Building Trust: In Business, Politics, Relationships, and Life, Understanding Computers and Cognition : A New Foundation for Design, and Disclosing New Worlds: Entrepreneurship, Democratic Action, and the Cultivation of Solidarity, and contributor to Beyond Calculation: The Next Fifty Years.

His new project is a movement called Atina Chile
