Fécamp is located on the coastline of the Pays de Caux area, 40 km north of Le Havre.

The Benedictine herbal liqueur, based on brandy, was first made by the Benedictine monastery of Fécamp.

Fécamp was the birthplace of Richard I of Normandy ( 933- 996).
