Faster Pussycat was a hair metal band formed in the late 1980s and named for the 1965 film Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! Their first album, a self titled piece, was released in 1987. The band hit their high point in 1989 with their album, "Wake Me When it's Over". This album was led by the song "House of Pain" and went gold. When grunge took over popularity in the early 1990s, Faster Pussycat fell off the map.
