At the end of 1992-93, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest were relegated along with Middlesbrough, the only relegated team not to undergo an immediate managerial change. Lennie Lawrence remained in charge at Middlesbrough for one more season until he was replaced by Bryan Robson.
