Everlast (born Erik Schrody, August 18, 1969) is a popular 1990s musician, known for alternating between rap and rock. He was the former frontman for rap group House of Pain. In 2000, he won a Grammy (with Santana) for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, for the song "Put Your Lights On". His most famous and most successful song is "What It's Like" (from Whitey Ford Sings the Blues , although "Ends", the followup single to "What It's Like", also reached the rock top 10.

Everlast's first solo album Forever Everlasting – which was largely made possible by rapper-turned-actor Ice T – failed both critically and commercially. His second solo CD Whitey Ford Sings the Blues – which was released a full 8 years later and after Everlast had a major heart attack – was both a monster commercial and critical success.
