An eternal flame is a symbol to remember someone important, a specific event or a group of brave and noble people. Examples include the following:

- The Pont de l’Alma Tunnel in Paris for Diana, Princess of Wales;
- Shanksville, PennsylvaniaShanksville is a borough located in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 245.
