Eric began making films at age 14 when he made a 13 minute film spoof of Mad Max called Mad Maxxy with his pet guinea pig and neighborhood cats. His love for Laurel and Hardy,
Buster Keaton and silent comedies ingeneral influenced him greatly and he began making silent films for fun. The Tree Surgeon, a silent short was the first film in which he took on the title role.
He majored in film production at Emerson College in Boston where he appeared on Emerson Independent Video's shows Koffee with Kent playing the nerdy newscaster and the skit comedy show Mannequins. During his college years Eric wrote, produced and acted in many more films.
After college he became a Screen Actors Guild member and worked for years as an extra and did bit parts in many films and television shows in the Boston area including , Against the Law, The Cider House RulesThe Cider House Rules is a novel by John Irving.
